Smoke is not the average man. So he orders a number 9 large to fill him up as well (probably a chicken sandwich). The large soda is probably just to make sure he gets a good amount of drink to wash down all his meal. We all know these restaurants (especially chic fil a) chince you hard with the Ice in the drink. And he's eating a lot of food, so the large soda and the 3 other drinks he gets will suffice But in the end, he eats everyone's food anyway, so I guess it really doesn't matter.
