I agree that there might be a element of truth to that. But 1: Avatar was really popular. And that's one of the most plot driven shows to ever plot drive. 2: It still doesn't excuse showing the same show over, and over, and over again. There are non plot driven shows besides Teen Titans Go, most of them a lot better. 3: I don't think children just want to laugh. It's more that any kid interested in a plot driven show would just watch it on Netflix or, if the first option isn't available, the streaming site. 4: TV is basically on its way out anyway. Desperately clinging to one or two shows, instead of trying to adapt to the new world, isn't exactly the smart thing to do when faced with extinction.
