Same Energy - Getting drunk and cutting heads: literally more important than breathing

Similar to how Demoman's metabolism was able to get all of required nutrients out of booze and, conversely, make alcohol out of his own bone marrow, I don't see above him either brewing oxygenated beer for drunk swimming, or being able to breath the carbonation.
