>implying that voting always helps solve problems, therefore implying that at least 1 candidate choice is actually good every time

Yes… no. I will refrain from bitching, sure, but do not expect me to deposit any hope in a system that has already turned extremely partisan and/or divisive in most countries for it to accurately provide options that actually reflect the worries and concerns of most people of a non-partisan population. Unless this statement counts as "bitching" as well.

There is a good reason for voting to be optional in most countries, and why voting in politically divided countries is indeed dwindling each time in many countries, and said reason is being willfully neglected by the people with power to change this, because it benefits them.

"You can vote third party"

And that never fails to fail precisely due to how the system is rigged to push big party candidates to the front, and simply voting is clearly not helping change that part of the system. When and if that changes, then we can talk.

Voting rarely solves anything, if anything, you'll just end up bitter and disappointed because politics is not about change, it's about politicians securing their livelyhood.
