Then I'm a hater then. From that link: "While Winnie the Pooh is referred to as a "he" in the books, the bear was actually inspired by a female IRL bear!"
So in the canonical winnie the pooh universe, he is a male. Facts are facts regardless of the source material. Would you say a r63 doppelganger of yourself is the same gender as you?
I like those kinds of twists, but not when they aren't true.
