Does anyone else remember when Hell used to be Hellish?

Since this is niche, even by my standards, I'll give a quick rundown of The Darkness' Otherworld.

Imagine the worst days of the battles of Verdun, The Somme and Passchendaele were all combined into one and that this situation lasted for eternity. Nothing truly dies here either, you can get shot, burned, gassed, blown to bits and you just come back to life in whatever state you were left in.

So if you get your head blown in half or a limb blasted off, it's tough s---. You have to deal with the excruciating pain of your situation until one of your colleagues or yourself can stich new parts back on. Where do the new parts come from? Why from any poor bastard that got it worse than you, of course.
