Turn on your tv and watch any mildly violent show or movie and you'll get the same damn kind of warning. It is not that uncommon of a thing. Literally every late night anime I watched as a kid had a "viewer discretion is advised" warning, and they were no where near Goblin Slayer's level of graphic content.

Fucking Naruto had one and that is literally a children's show, it's the Japanese equivalent of fucking Justice League Unlimited in terms of target demographic.
