Did you ever stop to think that someone can enjoy the show without wanting to sexualize the ponies? Because there are fans that do just that. A lot of them.

I'm part of both, and have seen this comparison way too many times.
While there are many similarities between the two, there are an equal number of differences.
Chief of them being that most furries prefer anthro versions of various animals and often avoid non-anthro versions of those animals, while most bronies prefer non-anthro equines and often avoid anthro versions of them. Or, at least, they prefer their humanoid versions to be human-like instead of animal-like.
