I might get hate for this but this certainly makes me think of the Gillette PSA.

Did they deliver their message poorly and were way late to the anti-bullying party? Yes. They did deserve some ridicule for that.
But twitter, such as it is, is now lauding itself over people who don't like the ad. Mocking everyone for even slightly disagreeing with the negative implications the PSA made like "oh look at the butthurt cis white male. You gonna flush your razor you little baby? Waaah!".

Even if it was handled well it'd probably still end up like this.
