gee it's almost like nearly every marvel movie that isn't groundbreakingly acclaimed like BP or Infinity War has this happen.

From what I've seen from reviews, it's not that surprising. Movie seems pretty bland, especially with Marvel herself.

At this point, I'm just curious about the reactions to her in Endgame and whatever female hero focused movie they release next is. So we'll at least have something to compare this to.
