To answer the last question, many beehives were installed on the roofs of Paris in order to increase the pollinisation rate, and thus the intramuros biodiversity. This is't really novelty, as anyone who has visited the Natural Museum of Washington could tell you. Also, there are significantly more small polluting particles, but also way less pesticides in urban environments, so bees paradoxically tend to be healthier there.
