Elon Musk Getting Cyberbullied in Stream Chat refers to a livestream held by billionaire Elon Musk in April 2025 in which he played the video game Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) and was cyberbullied and trolled in the game's chat by people spamming, "You have no friends and will die alone," "It's me, Ashley St. Clair" and "You ruined this country like you ruined your marriages," among other phrases, via DMs. It was estimated that Musk livestreamed his gaming session to disprove the fraud gamer allegations levied against him months and weeks prior. The clips went viral on social media sites like Twitter / X, TikTok and Reddit. Some shared screenshots of Musk's blank face with the mocking chat messages displayed above him. The screenshots became an exploitable template in the following days as some meme creators replaced the chat messages with other sayings.

On April 5th, 2025, Elon Musk livestreamed himself playing Path of Exile 2 from an airplane on X,^[1] receiving over 2.1 million views in four days. The full livestream was reposted by YouTuber ^[2] Marian abZ on April 5th, gaining over 76,300 views in four days (shown below).

The stream lasted for about one hour and 44 minutes before he ended it. Musk was spammed with chat messages during the livestream, many of which made fun of him or criticized him, including statements such as, "You have no friends and will die alone," "It's me, Ashley St. Clair" and "You ruined this country like you ruined your marriages." Musk reportedly died to a tutorial boss during the stream.^[3][4]

At one point during the livestream, a chatter also said, "put on some grimes," which Musk then did.^[15] Pop artist Grimes was notably in a relationship with Elon Musk for three years before their breakup in September 2021. The two also have a child together named Techno Mechanicus, whom the couple has had highly publicized conflicts over. As such, many found the decision to play his ex's music "weird."^[16]

On April 5th, 2025, multiple X users posted about Elon Musk's livestream and the spam messages he received throughout. For instance, on April 5th, X^[5] user @DevinDtv posted a screencap, writing, "Elon Musk just rage quit his Twitter stream after repeatedly dying to a tutorial boss in the new PoE 2 patch on hardcore," gaining over 47,000 likes in four days (shown below).

On April 6th, Bluesky ^[6] user stefanheck posted four screenshots of Musk's livestream, writing, "Elon Musk streaming PoE 2 on his private plane while listening to 'The Final Countdown' and everyone in the in-game chat is whispering to him to kill himself. Now that's cool," gaining over 13,700 likes in three days (shown below).

On April 7th, 2025, TikToker^[7] @uuuuuuffffffoooooo shared a clip of Elon Musk getting cyberbullied in his livestream chat, gaining over 552,900 likes in two days (shown below).

That same day, numerous threads and clips from the stream were shared on Reddit, such as the subreddit /r/chaoticgood^[13] and /r/Fauxmoi,^[14] the former of which received over 75,000 upvotes and the latter 99,000 upvotes, each in two days.

On April 8th, the Daily Beast^[8] wrote an article about Musk's PoE 2 livestream and posted a tweet^[9] about it, gaining over 16.9 million views and 29,000 likes in a day. X^[10] user @chiweethedog then quote tweeted the Daily Beast with the abovementioned TikTok,^[7] gaining over 117,000 likes in a day.

Screenshots began going viral on X in the following days. For instance, on April 8th, X^[11] user @TheActMan_YT tweeted a screencap of Musk with the messages, "You have no real friends and will die alone," captioning it in all caps, "MY JAW IS ON THE FLOOR." The tweet received over 270,000 likes in a day (shown below).

Also on April 8th, 2025, X^[12] user @SmoothDunk tweeted a webcomic showing someone else secretly playing PoE 2 for Musk during the stream, amassing over 10,000 likes in a day (shown below).
