It is critically important that what does and doesn't get you banned on an online platform is precisely defined. If you use an ill defined, vague phrase like "hate speech" you will end up in a situation like pic related.
Some people with the reigns of power, like the moderators or the supposed "victims", will inevitably categorize any opinion they disagree with as hate speech to have someone banned.

I mean, I hate to say this and I know I won't win any awards for it, but: this isn't the Vox guide, this is today's Left's guide. It's a form of McCarthyism. When the left doesn't get their way, they assert you're a white supremacist, nazi, whatever, and will, in their own words, "investigate" you and every association you have until they find an innocent or off-color comment to exaggerate and destroy your life with. It's McCarthyism all over again, on a social level all the way to the top. History will never stop repeating itself.
