2. Grookey will be based on Donkey Kong, who gained popularity with the Donkey Kong Country made by Rare, a UK game studio.
3. Sobble (and admittedly, this is my favorite theory) is obviously this Gen's Water Starter. Water Starter's in the Pokedex are almost always the 7th registered Pokemon. Meaning Sobble in the Pokedex will be 007 aka Agent 007, better known as James Bond.
