Blizzard's higher-ups don't understand that it's not 2010 anymore and you can't "revitalize" a game by making a sequel.
Had Valve done that with TF2 it would've been scrapped seven years ago, What if Mojang made Minecraft 2 instead of building upon the foundation for 10 years? Do you think it would have the same staying power?
The strange thing is how easily they could bring this game back to life, TF2 was exploding three years after release while OW is at its end-of-life. Goes to show you how you can't copy a game and expect the same longevity without also copying the years of effort it took to keep it alive.
