The freer the market the freer the people :) Chief, while I do admire your passion to liberate people must ask how an oligarchical power structure is a legitamate solution to true freedom. Do you not see that 'freedom' that is purported from our upper class is not that of feudalism with titles of a merchant republic? How are we truely free if those who are born into the right caste are judged, raised and enherit different that those of the wrong caste? To emphasise this let us look at the tax rates of British-America compared to that of modern America. Looking back we see far lower taxes for farmers, workers and laborers with much higher taxes for merchants. The only conclusion that can be drawn from this is that the mercha replaced the old aristocracy and has propogated that life is better under the new rule, a very common action seen throughout history. In conclusion I suppose you may be right that the freer the markets the freer the people but the only group of people the markets are free for are our new aristocracy while we are told the markets are free for us. ass has not overthrown but has Point well made king, while I do admire you acknowledge current oligarchical structures weilding the same powers as their aristocratic predecessors I must correct you in finding the two structures identical. For starters let us look at the source of the powers of an oligarchy against those of an aristocracy. An oligarchy seeks to and suceeds at giving the people what they want. We can not deny the efficency of the oligarchs in their power to create but we most definatly agree that they create far beyond what is best for the people. The people will become enslaved to their animal nature forever buying the newest clothes, watching the newest p---, buying the newest luxury... While l'm sure we both agree this is a waste of resources I believe that the natural cut throat nature of free markets will push the oligarchs to make more deviant p---, more wasteful luxuries leading to exponential growth of self enslavement of the people to their wants. When I see the reminants of an overweight man balding in his early 20s with a Rick and Morty shirt on his way to watch the latest starwars I do not see a free man. I see a man enslaved to his most primal instincts. This trajectory will continue as long as the oligarchs have their way and man becomes nothing more than the audience of modern day bread and circus. An aristocracy derives it's power from the strength of it's people and seeks to give only what man needs to survive. The Aristocrat doesn't want man slave to his beast but instead to his people. I must however admit that there are those who oppose luxury in a luxury based world but they are never the ones with power or infulence. To replace the slave holder of man from beast to nobility we must over throw the oligarchs. I recomend reading Plato's Rep book VII. Points well made brothers. The situation of freedom in our modern world is most complex and while I do agree with Rex that we must overthrow the beast's enslavement of man his solution of aristocracy is most questionable. As we have seen over the past 300 years the oligarchs have had nothing but victory over the aristocracy. It is a sad truth that the powers of man's beasts triumphed over man's greatness. A strong state will be needed but instead of the source of power being derieved of man's greatness we must now be derived from man's charity. There will be propoganda targeted at our system of a strong controling government such as that of attacks on our lower GDP and lack of luxury. I have no doubt that our GDP and luxury output will be lower as we have seen the power of production that is obtainable from the slave holder beast of greed. However I do believe the long term benifits will be our spending being completely on what is needed to survive and achive greatness will be kill that slave holder of the beast. Man will be trained in the natural virtues from birth and we will create a nation of strong, noble and truely free men. I do understand the concerns of this system of government. There are so many pillars that if fall will lead to a total colapse such as a corrupt or decedant leader, the natrual darwanism leading to non-virtuous men seeking power, attempting to corrupt from oligarchs outside the state hoping to expand their markets. I must admit that I do not have the solutions to these true issues. Books and doctrines have we have seen over millenium have been so easily interpreted in different ways to lead to division of the people. To solve this overarching solution I feel it is needed that we must have no doctrine or one that will be impossible to misinterprate. I do understand that this is a strange concept to think of, how can a ideology have a doctrine or one that cannont create an opening for cause of division. For some potential solutions I have brainstormed with fellow kings is that of the doctrine being a computer algorithem. It is sad but the judgements handed out will always be fair and uncoruptable. The issues however include man learning a way to cheat the system and taking advantage of the smallest imperfection. For this reason I prefer to follow the teachings of George Orwell in that we should create 2 or 3 identical states kept in check of being enslaved by their own beast by fear of the external threat of the other state. For the doctrine will be simple of perpetual war. We have seen throughout history of even oligarchic states a natural reaction to over throw the beast slave when life is threatened. If man is in constant fear of death he will always be free from his vices and only through this pure natural doctrine of survival will man be able to over throw their other natural desires of vice and enslavement. In practice the people of the world will never be so noble and simply now enslaved to the greater natural animal of virtue. Charity, love, kindness, will be abundent for mankind and we will finally be free.
