I liked that DoomSlayer 2016 was faceless and voiceless to the player, implying that the eternity he spent in hell as an unstoppable Force altered his physical and mental perception of himself.

But Doom Eternal has his face flash in his visor every time you get a quad damage pickup with badass glowing eyes and all, so I'm warming up to that

Its also more in line with the older games where he has a visible face.
