Not from what I've seen. Complaints from lefties and even Muslim groups hate it specifically because it's set in the Iraq War. Saying that it'll "normalize violence against muslims" and that usual tripe. Because, oh no, Americans in Iraq is the big no-no, line to be drawn for video games, eh?
And hey, if you or anyone else has an issue with omissions or not being 100% correct with reality, then you have every reason to complain about the game for it. Obviously being the only reason to hate it in its entirety is stupid, especially with so many other works of fiction, including games, that are set in real events that aren't accurate or fabricate things for their own story.
And as stated. Don't like it? Don't buy it. But they have every right to sell the game. And if you are anyone else think that it'll be harmful to people in reality, then I'm more worried about people who can't separate fantasy and reality and get their history lessons from a video game.
the reason why fallujah got canned originaly is because the soldiers who commited the war crimes where still fucking stationed there when the game got annouced.
it's like if they annouced "9/11 the game" before the building dust settled.
