To put it into terms that someone unenlightened might understand… Imagine ponies, dull uninteresting, regular ponies. Then give them either the ability to draw strength from the earth, the ability to fly and manipulate weather or a unicorn horn and magic. Pair that with the ability to talk and form social hierarchies and communities where they can pretty much do anything they want(such as, but not limited to extreme sports, owning a compact zoo, practicing magic/potions making, baking things, own a farm, fighting mutant gorilla dogs, being lead to their destinies, dress up for halloween, breaking the laws of physics pulling pranks, kidnapping birds, plotting revenge, being a dj ect. ) and you have a pretty interesting show. also, they sometimes break out in song and dance and have to take on missions for the two immortal alicorn princesses to save the country and thwart evil with lasers and magic
