COVID-19 Pandemic
-
In all seriousness tho, I think it has more to do with the lack medical professionals to report the disease, than a lack of the disease itself
There is also the thing about weather. COVID-19, like a lot of viruses of its kind, was found to not do well in high temperature environments where it dies faster and is less contagious, so anywhere with Caribbean type of weather is a lot less likely to spread the virus around. That is probably one contributing factor as to why Europe is currently the most affected continent on top of being the most populated one – lots of outright cold countries over there indeed, making it a prime environment for this particular breed of virus.
