H.P. Lovecraft works in a nutshell.
He's one of the most influential writers of all time,gave us the concept of Elder Gods,so many unique concepts that many categorized as "Lovecraftian".
Does that mean I agree with his views?No. Hell he was considered very racist even during his time but we shouldn't let that disregard his work.

If anything, his xenophobia was an important inspiration for the ideas and themes in his works, and a more tolerant person might never have captured the otherworldly existential fears he portrayed so vividly.
