About
The Cryana Twitch Chat Badge Controversy refers to discourse surrounding a Twitch chat badge known as "Cryana" promoting the release of the video game Pragmata, depicting a chibi version of the game's protagonist Diana, an android who looks like a child, crying. The badge was released alongside the game on April 17th, 2026.
The badge quickly garnered controversy for its design, which resembles the Loudly Crying Face Emoji. This Emoji, along with the expression, "Uohhhhhhhhh," is used by loli fans on social media to express excitement, usually towards loli imagery. Some believed that the badge was an example of Capcom, the game's publisher, pandering to a loli fanbase. Prior to this, Pragmata's fanbase had received criticism for sexualizing Diana. Others believed that it was a coincidence.

The "Uohhhhhhhhh! 😭" meme has been spreading online since late 2020. It is a relatively niche meme, also labeled a "dog whistle" by many, used by lolicon fans to express excitement over loli content. The expression and Emoji combo has inspired many memes throughout the 2020s.
Pragmata's Fanbase / Cryana Twitch Badge
Capcom's Pragmata is a video game released on April 17th, 2026. The game puts players in the role of Hugh, who must navigate an abandoned lunar research station to get back to Earth with an android girl named Diana, who is carried on Hugh's back.
Leading up to the game's release, the character Diana, depicted as a child, became the subject of fan art online, including lewd fan art.[8] This was seen as controversial due to the character's age and appearance.
In February 2026, a subreddit for the game, /r/pragmata_, was banned because of the immense presence of Diana loli art on the board.[1]
On April 17th, 2026, the @PRAGMATAgame X[2] / Twitter account announced the release of a Twitch chat badge called "Cryana" to celebrate the game's release. The badge shows a chibi version of Diana crying, with tears streaming down her cheeks like the 😭 Emoji. The post reads, "Starting now until April 30, get this special badge by purchasing or gifting subscriptions to streamers live in PRAGMATA!"
The tweet garnered over 2.9 million views, 9,200 likes and 400 replies in 12 hours, with many of the replies criticizing the announcement and referencing the Uohhhhhhhhh! 😭 meme.
The Twitch badge can also be viewed on StreamDatabase.[3]

Kotaku[5] reported on the backlash towards the badge that day in an article titled "Fans Accuse Capcom’s Twitch Badge For Pragmata Of Referencing A P-do Meme."
Later that day, X[6] user @corvui_ posted the badge, writing, "What a cute and funny badge," garnering over 2,600 likes in under a day. This is a reference to the loli-related term "cunny," which is often joked about as being a combination of the words "cute" and "funny."
