What's Wrong With The 'Cryana' Twitch Badge? The Controversy About 'Pragmata's New Badge And The 'Uoh' Meme Explained

Pragmata Cryana Twitch Badge controversy explained.

Capcom's big new video game Pragmata has been released, and to promote the game, a Twitch badge called "Cyrana" is being offered to anyone who supports a streamer playing the game.

However, the design of the Twitch badge has some people raising their eyebrows due to a troubling side of the game's fanbase, particularly regarding its child-like android protagonist, Diana.

So, why exactly is the badge controversial, and how is social media reacting to it? Here's what we know about the backlash.

What Is The 'Cryana' Twitch Chat Badge?

Pragmata is a much-hyped sci-fi action-adventure game from Capcom about a man who has to navigate an abandoned base on the moon with an android girl named Diana to escape and get back to Earth. The Android girl, who travels around on the man's back, is designed to resemble a child.

The game was released on April 17th, 2026, and a Twitch chat badge called "Cryana" was released alongside it as a promotion.

The badge, which shows a chibi version of Diana crying, tears streaming down her face, is awarded to Twitch users who support a streamer playing the game.

While this might seem innocent at first, the controversial side of Pragmata's fanbase has forced an unfortunate comparison between the badge and a contentious meme.

Leading up to the game's release, artwork started appearing online that depicts Diana in an inappropriate way. This art was heavily pushed against by many, even getting one Pragmata-related subreddit banned.

The problem with the badge is that the crying expression on Diana's face resembles the Loudly Crying Emoji (😭), which has been associated with a niche meme known as "Uohhhhhhhhh 😭."

This meme is used by some online to express excitement over inappropriate artwork of child-like anime characters, including Diana. Now, Capcom is being accused of pandering to the fans who make and enjoy this type of Diana art.

How Is Social Media Reacting To The 'Cryana' Twitch Badge?

Social media users were quick to call out the Cryana badge for its resemblance to the "Uoh" meme. Many believe that the badge is a way for Capcom to pander to their most troubling Diana-loving fans.

While a lot of people think this is simply a coincidence, others think it's more nefarious, or that someone working on the game's social media marketing team slipped the reference to the niche meme through the cracks.

Either way, the badge is proving very controversial online as people wait for a response from Capcom and backlash continues to escalate.
