I'm not saying you are one of them, but there are certain fans of characters who simply refuse to let any fanart portray that character as anything but the absolute coolest. Like, there was a Torture Dance parody where Byleth was dancing on Dante (if you recall, there was a DMC announcement dated for the Smash reveal, so people got their hopes up) And I saw a comment with like, over 50 upvotes that said something like:

"Actually, Dante would have gotten himself out and started dancing with them. He's super cool like that."

Some people just can't take a joke.
