Chinese Virus - I know this won't age for years to come, but you can't go anywhere without the virus being mentioned.

My mother is home from work until early May, and keeps the TV turned on as "background noise".

I've had to listen to 24/7 coronavirus news coverage for weeks now.

Kill me.

I'm amused (in a "black comedy" sense) by the reputation Corona beer got here. (Not US/MX).

Before, it was that expensive beer nobody bought except for bragging rights (Corona is relatively expensive here, you can buy two Buds or three cans of local-brand swill for the price).

Then there was an influx of memelords buying it to joke around (plus to check if Corona is actually worth the price tag – it isn't).

Now there's a third wave of people who won't even stand to look at it in the shelves because it reminds of something that took too much away from them. Also, it's expensive and not that good so you can't even drown your sorrows with it.
