Didn't get it at first. Then I noticed who the guy was.

I remember finding how weird is people having fascination with trains and how exciting is piloting one since all you do is accelerate and break. Then I found Densha de Go! (Go By Train!) on a GCCX episode, and there's much more than meets the eye in terms of keeping your train under control, your passengers comfortable and safe, and arriving on schedule.

There's also the scenery watching depending on the line, which the aforementioned game went to pains to faithfully reproduce with ancient technology, taking various trains and finding various "not programmers or students, just train nerds" doing the same and sharing notes. Trains are fascinating if you think too long about it.

All of that paid off when watching some odd japanese video with a guy and his doge doing a skit where he pretended to conduct a train while phoning his wife. Most english comments were like "I have no idea what they are doing but it looks so cute". Me, not knowing a lick of japanese, still recognized the stations and correctly guessed they were doing the Yamanote Line.
