Believe it or not, the people of this time, especially the wealthiest ones were very concerned about their appearances.
A lot of them dyed their hair, wore wigs and used cosmetic products.

- Caesar was didn't like the fact that he was balding, so he often coveted his head.
- Augustus was insecure about his height, and usually wore elevator shoes so that he could look taller than he really was
- Caligula was so enamored by his own image that he cut the heads of several statues and substituted it with his own, sometimes he wore a fake beard so that he could LARP as a Greek god
- Hadrian brought the beard in fashion among emperors, as his successors are all depicted with it, however it is speculated that he kept it so that he could look manlier among his harem of twinks
- Nero grew a neckbeard so that he could hide his double chin

Him being fat is not only noticeable in his busts, but also in the coins featuring him, showing a gigantic and thicc neck
