Hot take but admittedly one shared by others including some well known names like Pan Pizza: no one gave a shit about the 80s original until the reboot was announced and was shown to have an art style reminiscent of a 00s era action cartoon aimed at teens (the reboot gives off series Teen Titans 2003, Avatar, and Code Lyoko energy to me). The 80s original was a short lived spinoff of the much more popular He-Man just to sell toys, the reboot is pretty much the superior show in every way by having better writing and characterization. Similarly I'd argue the 2002 reboot of He-Man and the 2011 Thundercats outclassed their 80s counterparts in the same areas (the main reasons to watch the 80s originals is more for the camp value honestly, like Skeletor alone is why most people even bother checking out 80s He-Man).

I appreciate paying hommage to the classics, but let's be real: Original She-Ra was a merchandise-driven show whose sole purpose was to sell toys, with bare-bone plot and characters.

Whatever you may think about the new She-Rah, you have to at least acknowledge it TRY to go deeper in almost every fields.
