"Home? We can't go home. There's a line men like us have to cross. If we're lucky, we do what's necessary, then we die. No, all I really want, Captain, is peace."

Colonel John Konrad

One interesting thing I noticed that might be hard to pick up on a tablet or phone, is that the marine is made from sand. Looks at his legs, and it's not so much as blood, but dust coming out of his head; as if he was hollow.

Artist's Description:

Christ this piece was a challenge to paint, all things considered I think it came out pretty damn well.

Anyway for those who don't know what this is, spec ops the line is an extremely interesting and surreal military shooter released a few years back and it's one of the best examples of video games being used as a storytelling medium i've ever seen.

There's not much I can say about it without spoiling stuff, but safe to say if you want to see a good example of how far videogames can go as a storytelling art form, you really should check it out.
