While a lot of people badly misunderstand science, I can't help but see the inclusion of the specific phrase "trust the experts" and wonder if there's a more specific agenda underlying this particular portrayal that the image is shying away from making explicit.
Annnd as I type this I glance at the tags and see "vaccine" and it clicks.

Strawmen aside, there is a worrying trend in published science where novelty is valued over repeatability. This has lead to what is dubbed the Replication Crisis where (as of 2016) about 70% of attempts to replicate another's experiment has failed, and 50% have failed on replicating their own experiment. Medicine and the social sciences are among the hardest hit by the Replication Crisis.
