January 6th, 2021, Storming of the United States Capitol - Is it too much to ask?

What I am getting from both incidents is that guns are both the least helpful solution and somehow not the direct cause of either problem somehow, which kind of really makes you think why the US brings the topics of guns so often for other things when we could honestly say the same for almost everything else too. Just maybe, stop putting corrupt politicians in power instead..? No reason for political violence if no politician gives you a reason to, you know.
