I'm like 99% no one actually complains about anime swordfighters anymore, but rather, more specifically, the amount of Fire Emblem characters that are in the game (who just happen to be almost entirely anime-esque fighters who use swords)

Hence why Pyra and Mythra were more warmly received than Byleth (aside from two (four?) obvious reasons).
