The Asanbosam, also known as an Sasabonsam, is a vampiric creature that comes from the folklore of the Akan people who hail from Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire and Togo.

I'm just going to paste the artist's description here, because it was a lot more informative than the other sources I read:

Asanbosam are vampires from the medieval stories of Ghana, Togo, Mali, Niger, Ivory Coast and other West African countries.

Asanbosam have giant iron fangs, bat ears, bat feet, iron claws and huge bat wings attached to their arms. Whether they were born as monsters with iron bones or used to be humans is unknown. Some of them may be inclined to kindness and genius, but most would rather use humans like a blood slushie.

Asanbosam can go into the sun, cross rivers and need no coffin to sleep in. But their nocturnal lifestyle makes them shun the sun and prefer dark forests and nightly activities. But those cursed royal princes and nobles who turn into wereleopards at the full moon deter the common Asanbosam from loping to the ground.
