The Think Tank aren't flanderized versions of their human selves because of being removed from their bodies. They're exaggerated versions of themselves because spending 200 years separated from their bodies (in addition to rigorous chem use) has driven them buttfuck insane.

Furthermore, 'flanderized versions of themselves' is still a personality. House isn't saying the human mind wasn't stable away from its body, he's saying that all human identity was erased.
