A Pokemon game that was basically nothing but a photo studio, letting you dress up your 'mons with accessories and take cute pictures would still sell like hotcakes. You know, if the company actually wanted to give a damn about something resembling effort.

In the games, maybe. But in the games, each pokémon is just a carbon copy of each other. In a real life scenario, they'd probably prefer being petted differently.
