The once-popular YouTube series Content Cop is back but this time, iDubbbz is going after a former friend.

iDubbbz retired the series back in 2017 with a video calling out YouTuber RiceGum but now he's put the cop suit back on to criticize Ethan Klein, aka h3h3productions, a creator who he collaborated with on some of his biggest videos.

So why exactly did iDubbbz make a Content Cop video on H3 and how are people reacting to the video? Here's what you need to know.

What Is The Drama Between Ethan Klein and iDubbbz?

The events that directly lead up to the release of "Content Cop – H3" go back to February 17th, 2025, when Ethan shared a story on the H3 Podcast about how his new dog Olive was adopted with Giardia. Ethan suspected that his youngest son Sunny and his wife and co-host Hila contracted Giardia from the dog. This, however, ended up being a false alarm.

Disinformation surrounding the Giardia claim spread over the next few weeks and was entertained by a few big pro-Palestinian streamers that Klein has called out for, in his opinion, supporting terrorist groups, including Denims, Bad Empanada and iDubbbz's former editor Froggy Tonic. This led to someone, who Klein suspects to be an online harasser, calling CPS to his house, citing the Giardia story to the CPS worker.

Ethan was upset about the CPS call and spoke about it at length during a March 7th, 2025 episode of the podcast. During that episode, he called out iDubbbz and his wife Anisa for not speaking up in their defense, calling them "spineless" among other things.

Ethan claims he's frustrated because he and Hila defended iDubbbz and Anisa when they were getting hate after Anisa joined OF and iDubbbz apologized for his past "hateful" content, including his Content Cop series, which he privatized

iDubbbz and Anisa responded to this callout on their own podcast by saying they didn't want to get involved and suggesting that Ethan needs professional help, also claiming he needs to stop feeding the trolls. From there, things seemingly quieted down between the creators.

Then, on April 16th, iDubbbz dropped a Content Cop video on Ethan Klein, reigniting the drama on a whole new level.

What Is 'Content Cop – H3?'

At around 3:00 PM EST on April 16th, just as the H3 Podcast started streaming its weekly Wednesday episode, iDubbbz dropped "Content Cop – H3," a video calling out Ethan. The video criticizes Ethan for a few things, but is mostly a response to Ethan calling iDubbbz out for not defending him.

In the video, iDubbbz criticizes Ethan for suggesting he has to defend him, saying it makes the friendship feel "transactional." He also claims that Ethan has been "crashing out" for the past few months and again suggests he needs therapy and professional help.

The video goes on to criticize Ethan's opinions on the Israel-Palestine crisis, towards which Klein has shown support for a two-state solution, along with his calling out of pro-Palestinian online content creators, who he believes are propping up extremist groups like Hamas and the Houthis in their efforts to support Palestine and, in doing so, are fostering antisemitism in their communities.

This opinion has put him in the crosshairs of pro-Palestinian streamers like Hasan Piker, Frogan and Denims for months, who have been calling him a genocide supporter and a zionist. The video features cameos from many of these creators who Ethan has called out for being extremists and supporting terrorist groups.

Along with all this, iDubbbz criticizes Ethan for liberally using a broadcast scrubbing button during his podcast, for "seeking out" content to make him mad, for allegedly putting his employees through a toxic work environment, for criticizing a TwitchCon panel for being antisemitic and for ignoring a phone call he made to Klein to discuss the situation.

The Kleins responded to a portion of the video that day during their stream, promising to finish their reaction on Friday the 18th.

How Is Social Media Reacting To 'Content Cop – H3?'

The new Content Cop video has proven very controversial for iDubbbz, amassing over 2.9 million views in a day and a nearly 50% like-dislike ratio according to third-party like-checking applications. Some people are shocked that iDubbbz would "betray" his longtime friend, suggesting iDubbbz should have stuck up for him and shouldn't link up with people who dislike Klein, like Denims, Frogan and Hasan.

Others, including streamer xQc, seem to think that the new Content Cop video betrays the whole premise of the series, which was originally made to call out people who weren't being called out to a significant degree, like RiceGum and Tana Mongeau. In contrast, there have been numerous videos calling out Ethan over the past few months, suggesting to some that iDubbbz is simply jumping on the "H3 hate bandwagon" for views.

Many others are simply surprised to see the drama between the content creators, both due to their historical friendship and the fact that they were both at the height of their relevancy in the mid-to-late 2010s. Some support for iDubbbz can be found on subreddits like /r/Hasan_Piker, /r/iDubbbz and /r/YouTubeDrama.
