In early Mythology, Lilith was said to be Eve's predecessor, but she wanted to be on top, got into a struggle for dominance with Adam, and left Eden afterwards.

Eve was made from Adam's rib afterwards, and apocryphally Lilith is said to be the mother of all succubi.
