Kobolds - Clashing Kobolds

Reptilian-like Kobolds was a concept created by WoTC after they acquired DnD between 2e and 3e. Old DnD Kobolds were basically just goblins with scales and dog noses.

The Japanese interpretation of the Kobolds was based on how ADnD was translated. The text of "They have Dog-Like snots and mouths" was instead "They are Dog People", which Japanese players assumed meant they had a lot more dog-like traits like fur and dog ears.
