the entire topic of objectification on female characters is pointless because characters are always objects and you can't change that, and nobody's using characters as a metric on how to treat real people except misguided kids with parents not doing their job well

That's a hard question to answer, if you ask somebody "what are you into" most people aren't going to say "I like titty and I like ass" that's a faux pas. If you ask them that with respect to a relationship that's an exponentially stronger faux pas.
