Negative Emotes Changed and Removed, Several Emotes Added in Patch 9.1.5 PTR posted 19 days ago by Wowhead Blizzard is continuing to update small aspects of Warcraft that may foster negativity between players. In the latest 9.1.5 PTR build, several negative emotes have been removed while others have been modified to be less intrusive when targeting players. In addition, several emotes have been added, mostly emphasizing positivity, such as magnificent and impressed. Other tweaks to legacy content on the Patch 9.1.5 PTR include modifying suggestive paintings, renaming the Love Rocket, and removing references to inappropriate former employees. W BIZZARD View Original * Blizzard User Interface and Accessibility • The "PvP talent is available" helptip will now only appear in War Mode and PVP instances. • Several emotes have been adjusted: o Drool, cough, burp, fart, whistle, spit, and moon no longer change when used while targeting a player. o Pounce and groan have been adjusted when used while targeting a player. o 4 new emotes have been added - Huzzah, magnificent, impressed, and wince. o Kick, stink, shake, and moan have been removed. • Developers' note: Some of these emotes seem to have harmless intentions at a glance, but when used while targeting another player, their intentions can turn unexpectedly suggestive or intrusive. We've made adjustments to these emotes with negative connotations towards another player, while also adding a few new ones. Don't suppress /fart - Expand /fart instead! But what if instead of just qutting the /fart emote, we expand its utility and entertainment value? Allow modifiers to determine the quality of the /fart. • /fart chunky: Releases a chunky fart that is accompanied by a thick green mist effect. • /fart smooth: A smooth fart with a much lighter mist, perhaps even a slight cooling sensation. • /fart silent: There would be no emote attribution, but a fart cloud would appear in the area. • /fart deadly: A minor AoE effect that can cause dizziness and the puking animation from excessive alcohol consumption. • /fart sonar: Let characters with excellent hearing echo-locate hidden items and secret passages with this 2h ago command. The possibilities are endless. Don't let this wonderful emote die with so much untapped potential. Thank you.
