Despite being consistently paired up with Yoshi in Mario spin-off games, Birdo or anything Birdo-related has never appeared in a single Yoshi game. Internal fles for Yoshi's leland shov that the original concept for Hookbilthe Koopa was intended to be a Birdolkoopa hybrid. This would have been the only appearance of a Birdo in a Yoshi game, as despite alvags being paired up vith Yoshi in spin-off tiles. Birdo has never been in an actual Yoshi tile. The sprites for the boss also contain an animation for the head that appears to show the boss spiting an egg, as is common A remnant of this oan still be seen in the finished game.
