I would buy the toys (at least the mane 6) if they actually looked like the characters in the show.
Right now they still look too weird.
I've seriously contemplated bidding on some of those custom-made figures, but they get pretty expensive most of the time.
Hasbro, if you make official, accurate, and reasonably priced figures, I (and others) will probably buy the whole freaking set.

My roommate got me a Fluttershy with a brushable mane for Christmas.

Regardless of Hasbro's fail, still the best gift ever! XD
