The reported average casualty ratio is 3:1, which is pretty bad. Russians face horrific losses when they're on the offensive, but Ukraine also faces losses when they attack as well so it evens out to 3:1. For someone who is, claims to be, and is estimated to be, one of the richest people in the world, the phrase "can no longer afford" means he's either not getting the accolades he wants, or has been grossly mismanaging funds on other things. Probably both.

He is also forgetting the 34th and 35th Rules of Acquisition. But then again, he never had the Lobes for business, did he.
