In DKC2, a Klobber enemy that is dropped into lava does not actually die. Instead, it is teleported so far up that it takes 3 minutes for it to fall down. If the player waits in that spot for 3 minutes, the Klobber will fall down from the sky.

In Donkey Kong Country, if a Kong throws a DK Barrel, but the level is exited before it hits the ground, then the next time that Kong is hit by an enemy, instead of dying, he will simply freeze in place with a shocked expression forever.
