And I feel this may be the reason why the only people I consider to be my friends is my brother and my cousin. As a kid, I was still fairly shy but I always had a group of a couple friends. But by the age of 15/16 I noticed people would cross the street from me. I just thought it was weird and a little bit funny. But now more than ever, since I shaved my head (because of balding) I've heard the "thug" comments. When I'm at the gym, I catch people looking who then immediately look away when I look back. I only have 2 people at my gym who I would consider a friend. When I go gym with my brother, random people will come up to him and strike up a conversation. The same people who look away from me. Is there anything I can do?
