X-Files was really big back then.

X-Files seems to be to the 90s what Game of Thrones was to the 2010s. Probably the most interesting piece of tie-in media IMO is there is legit an old-school survival horror X-Files game on the PS2 (as in it's a game released pre-RE4 that uses fixed camera angles and limited ammo). I've never played it but I remember being shocked to learn about the game when the Super Best Friends played it for Shitstorm of Scariness one year.
