This is why I'm excited to see ideas like this
The European comics writers have been doing awesome job expanding Mickey, Donald and Goofy (Donald and Uncle Scrooge are my favourites)

Mickey is like a combination of TinTin and Macgyver in the comics

Unfortunately over the years, Disney would try to Sterilize this action persona so they can make him Safe as Marketable to everyone as possible
