Notes:

There's an infamous gameplay video for the game where O.J. Simpson plays for the fictional New Jersey Assassins, a team who performs a throat slash as a touchdown celebration. While Wikipedia says that this means that during development O. J. was part of that team, the video was actually not made by 2K Games, but GameTrailers and it was published 4 days after the initial release of the game.
