Oliver Jia (オリバー・ジア) @OliverJia1014 Follow It's amazing how modern Star Wars consistently has no understanding of the Jedi or the Force. The prequels and Clone Wars already showed that the Jedi were flawed, but ultimately still the good guys. Lucas never intended for them to be interpreted as anything else. They were never supposed to be unintentional bad guys or child snatchers. Disney's Star Wars is like this because everything has to be a "deconstruction" that no one asked for. That doesn't mean that deconstruction can't be interesting, but there's a difference between that and being a complete betrayal of the source material. Even Lucas has said that the modern writers don't understand what he originally envisioned. Modern Star Wars does have some good projects like Rogue One, Andor, Rebels, etc. but good or bad, it's no longer George Lucas' Star Wars. This franchise has long moved on from him and Disney doesn't care about its roots.
