Anonymous member 7h .. We have 6 children and are at a point where if we have even one more, things change more drastically. Like a new car, bedroom space, etc. But also, I have a bigger problem. I suffer through PPD after each baby. I believe a lot of it has to do with nutrient deficiencies in myself so I'm working on that. But I currently can't understand how the Lord saw me fit to give me 6 children so close together. The oldest turned 8 two months before the 6th was born. I struggle so much with PPD, patience, not yelling so much that I feel like a terrible mom and feel like I should be forced to not have more because I can't even meet my own standards with what I have. I'm currently going through PPD so that's what's fueling these thoughts. I know that if I didn't struggle with this and was the mom I want to be, we'd undoubtedly have more children and be CONFIDENT about presenting a new pregnancy to family and even strangers (you know, the lovely comments). Right now I feel like if I got pregnant with a 7th I would have a lot of doubt in myself, my ability to be everything I need to be and homeschool, and not even want to tell anyone because I wouldn't want to deal with reactions. I feel like 6 isn't that many but 7 is a lot and I hate negative reactions to my babies. I can't be the only one who feels like this. How does everyone else manage these feeling? What do these feelings mean to you? I'd specifically like to hear from Christians on this But I know non-Christian's could have helpful advice too 4 32 comments
